FBS STAFF APPRECIATION TEA
Wednesday June 5th, 5.30pm
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION, IN LIEU OF A FOOD DONATION, PLEASE CLICK HERE
The FBS staff tea is now a much loved annual tradition - it’s one of the ways parents and guardians like to thank the teachers and staff for all their hard work.
Friends prepare and lay on an enormous tea at the school which is for staff only; parents do not stay for this event, or wait to clear up as the staff do this when they’re finished.
However, to run this event we do need plenty of donations of food and drink to be delivered to the school during Wednesday June 5th, and we welcome homemade or shop bought! If you are unable to drop off at school or organise something to be brought in by your son, we also accept cash donations that we can use to purchase last minute requirements, or you can arrange a store delivery to the school.
Some suggestions for food donations:
(PLEASE REMEMBER FBS HAS A NUT-FREE POLICY)
Bakery items eg. cake, scones, tarts, baklava, pastries etc.
Savoury snacks/canapes eg. sliced sandwiches, falafels, spring rolls, quiche, olives, cheese straws, pakoras, smoked salmon blinis, sausage rolls, crisps, etc.
Dips eg. hummus, sour cream & chive, tzatziki, salsa, etc.
Raw veg eg. carrots, cucumbers, peppers
Fresh fruit eg. strawberries, grapes, cherries
Cheese, cheese biscuits, french bread.
Some suggestions for drink donations:
Soft drinks eg. soda, lemonade, elderflower, fruit juices
Alcoholic drinks eg. Prosecco, wine, beer, cider
We also organise a lucky dip for the staff so if you’ve got any new gifts, boxes of chocolates, store vouchers, etc. then feel free to drop them off as well!
Finally, we are looking for a few more volunteers to help set up from 3.00-5pm on the day, if you are able to lend a hand please contact [email protected]
