Welcome Friends!
All parents and carers of current pupils of The Fulham Boys School are automatically members of the Friends of Fulham Boys School. We would love everyone of you to get involved, at whatever level suits you - from helping at an event, to coming along to support us. It's massive fun to join in with our FBS community, and it's another thing that helps to make our school "More than just a school".

Friends organise activities such as the annual quiz, the summer ‘FBStival’ and staff celebrations. We lay on social events such as the new parents’ welcome drinks. We reach out to the wider community through fairs and fundraising. As the school grows, so does Friends. We’re continually adding new events and finessing old ones, and they all rely on YOU as Friends to make them happen. If you haven’t yet found something on the calendar that’s up your street let’s get together, show some of that FBS enterprising spirit, and give it a go!
You’ll notice that some events help raise funds for the school, but this isn’t the Friends’ main objective. The FBS Foundation is charged with securing the additional financial support the school needs.
The Friends are responsible for securing the community of support it relies on. We are always on the look out for anyone with ideas, time, contacts, skills – or funds – to help us deliver our supportive mission. How it works
Friends of FBS is steered by a committee, who look to all parents for ideas and help with social and fundraising activities. Volunteers will be sought to take on responsibility for overseeing/organising specific events, with the committee providing co-ordination and support.
The committee reports into the school’s Governing body via the Community committee to ensure activities link with the school’s ethos and priorities and objectives are aligned with the school’s priorities. Our Treasurer aims to meet the Headmaster each term to distribute funds and get feedback.
How you can help - something for everyone
Volunteer now! Volunteers are needed for the various roles on the committee. And in view of the fundraising possibilities for the new site, volunteers are also sought for a specific, subsidiary, site appeals committee – if you’ve skills and time to contribute to marketing, fundraising or event planning please let us know.
