SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALESBAGS 2 SCHOOL COLLECTIONS |
EBAY FOR CHARITYOR LET US LIST YOUR ITEM(S) FOR YOU TO BENEFIT THE SCHOOLDo you, your friends or family have things that are cluttering your homes but are too good to throw away? If you have an item that has a value and is in good saleable condition then the Friends of FBS will gladly sell it on to raise funds to support the school.
Just a few ideas: anything “branded”, mobile phones, iPods, cameras, designer items, computer equipment, furniture, baby items such as prams, antiques or anything else you can think of! Let us turn your UNWANTED items into cash for this worthwhile cause!! BIG NEWS!!! GIFT AID CAN NOW BE CLAIMED! Sue Ryder Care, followed by the British Heart Foundation, pioneered a process for handling the items previously donated to them, which were sold in their shops to raise funds for their cause. By donating not the items themselves, but the funds raised from their sale the donor can authorise the benefiting charity to claim GIFT AID from HMRC which will boost the value of their donation by 25%! So here is (briefly) how it works; You bring in the items with the completed GIFT AID form (COMING SOON) which appoints us to act as your agent in selling them on your behalf. We list the items on eBay and (hopefully) sell them *. We then either post off the item or arrange for collection by the buyer. We notify you of how much money was raised, and advise you that, if you would like to, you can donate the proceeds to the Friends of FBS. If we don’t hear back from you within 21 days from writing we will keep the funds as a donation and claim an additional 25% back in tax. THE SMALL PRINT – so here is the bit we are obliged to tell you in order for this to meet the requirements of HMRC: You do not have to donate anything from the proceeds to the Friends of FBS. Obviously, we would like you to, as that is the point of this fundraising initiative but we are obliged to tell you that you can have the sale proceeds back if you request them in writing within 21 days of our notification. |
