If you ever wonder how your son is getting on at the school, his peers can be a good reference point - and it's often other parents who can tell you about them. Informal conversations can do a lot to let you assess attitude to learning and provide extra insights. That's the value of participating in school and FBS Freinds events. They foster contacts that can help us guide our sons through these important years. At the same time they help to raise much needed funds for the school. These are some of the events we look to run in a typical year. There's more information available in the links to the left:
Class events
Get-togethers for individual classes organised by class reps.
Murder Mystery Evening
Boys from the Sixth Form providing a very convincing drama.
Burns Night
With Piper and Scottish dancing, a huge favourite with parents
International Food Event
Brilliantly organised, last year, by our current year 7 parents.
Summer Marquee Party
A fun, black tie or lounge suit event within the School grounds.
Annual Head’s Question time
Your chance to ask the Head questions.

A successful fund-raiser where parents, their employers and local businesses, donate items for auction.
